STC condemns Sanaa forces’ attacks on Lod Airport

ADEN, May 06 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) condemned on Monday Sanaa forces’ attacks on Lod Airport, known as Ben Gurion Airport, inside Israeli occupation in the Palestinian territories.

The Israeli newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, published an interview with Samar Ahmed, the STC’s foreign affairs representative, in which it confirmed that the STC did not object to establishing relations with “Israel”, similar to those of the Gulf states.

The STC has no restrictions on its relationship with Israel, and described the Yemeni missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport as a “terrorist act”, he said.

The newspaper expressed the STC’s aspiration to cooperate with the occupation in formulating US policy in support of “just causes, calling on the Netanyahu government to stand with the STC in its pursuit of peace and what she called “self-determination.”

It stated that the mission of the STC’s new mission, which was recently launched in the United States, aimed to coordinate and connect the Council with the US government, other research centers, and the media outlets.

The newspaper explained that the Transitional Council is in direct contact “with various levels of the US government” with the aim of achieving its project, which calls for returning Yemen to its pre-unification state.

Speaking to the Israeli newspaper, the STC’s foreign affairs representative claimed that the US was capable of separating Yemen through military and political means.
