AL QUDS, April 30 (YPA) – The Palestinian Authority, based in Ramallah, made a final offer to the Israeli occupation government to participate in extinguishing efforts, especially as flames approached a number of settlements on the outskirts of the city.
The occupation’s Kan Channel explained that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has not yet responded to this offer.
This comes as widespread fires continue to rage in various parts of occupied Al Quds, amidst the apparent inability of the occupying entity’s authorities to contain them. This has prompted them to request international aid, while the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah has offered to assist with firefighting operations.
Meanwhile, Hebrew media reported that the occupation authorities have requested external support from five countries: Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, and Italy, in addition to a fifth country whose identity has not yet been announced.
The request aimed to bolster field capabilities in combating the fires, which have spread to vast areas and difficult terrain.
These developments come amid mounting domestic criticism of the Netanyahu government’s handling of the disaster, particularly after attempts to control the fires failed despite the intervention of aircraft and the participation of Israeli military units.
