“Israel” continues genocidal war on Gaza with US backing amid global silence

GAZA, April 26 (YPA) -Israeli occupation forces have continued their genocidal war on the Gaza Strip for the past 40 days, after Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reneged on a ceasefire agreement. The aggression is backed by US political and military support, amid international silence and an unprecedented failure by the global community.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli occupation forces launched dozens of airstrikes and carried out home demolitions. The humanitarian crisis has worsened due to the ongoing blockade on essential food supplies since early March, painting a dire picture of famine in the besieged enclave.

Medical sources reported that the death toll since early Saturday has risen to 17 martyrs.

The Indonesian Hospital received the body of an unidentified martyr who was targeted by Israeli occupation forces in the Azbat Beit Hanoun area, northern Gaza.

Young man Mustafa Abdel-Razzaq Taha Sharab succumbed to wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Al-Manara area, east of Khan Younis. The number of martyrs in that strike has risen to ten.

Two martyrs were recovered following an Israeli airstrike near the Education Roundabout in northern Gaza. One of them was identified as Osama Al-Tayeh.

Gaza’s Civil Defense reported that its teams recovered  the bodies of four martyrs and several injured individuals from the Al-Khour family home, which was bombed  by Israeli occupation forces near the Abdullah Azzam Mosque in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, southern Gaza City.

A large number of people remain trapped under the rubble. Later, six more bodies from the same family were retrieved.

Israeli military vehicles opened fire on the eastern areas of Gaza City, and warplanes bombed a home in the Al-Qassasib neighborhood of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

The death toll from the airstrike on the Abu Abdo family home in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, has risen to three.
