OCCUPIED QUDS, April 25 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army announced on Friday that it had received three “F-35” fighter jets from the American company “Lockheed Martin,” bringing the number of aircraft of this type in Tel Aviv’s possession to 45.
This came in a post by army spokesman Avichay Adraee on the X platform, in which he said, “Yesterday, three new F-35 fighter jets manufactured by Lockheed Martin landed at the Nevatim Air Base and will join the ranks of the air force and the 140th Squadron.”
Tel Aviv’s announcement of its receipt of the three fighter jets comes at a time when it has been committing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for 19 months, with absolute American support.
The Israeli enemy is the only one in the Middle East that owns this type of aircraft, and it obtained it under a foreign military sales deal with the American government, which it signed in 2010.
In this context, Adraee explained that since the beginning of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, “F35 aircraft have been operating at an unprecedented operational pace and are participating in defensive and offensive missions on various fronts.”
He considered that the addition of the new fighters “enhances the continuity of work (in reference to continuing with the annihilation) in terms of expanding the Air Force’s capabilities in dealing with various threats accurately, quickly, and in depth,” as he said.
For its part, the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation stated that Tel Aviv’s receipt of the additional fighters “brings the number of aircraft of this type in Israel to 45.” It added that the total purchase agreements signed since then have reached 75 F-35 aircraft.
