Update: Yemeni army controls Saudi Meshaal site in Jizan

JIZAN, July 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday seized the Saudi Meshaal military site near al-Dood Mountain controlled by the Yemeni forces in Jizan region, a military source told Yemen Press Agency.

The control of Meshaal site came after an intensive artillery shelling on the site over the past two days, which inflicted heavy losses on the Saudi army’s troops and militiamen, the source said.

The operation is a qualitative addition for the Yemeni army, which took an advanced position in depth of Saudi territory in south of Jizan, and will secure the protection for the military positions occupied by the Yemeni forces in the same region, according to the source.
