Looted Yemeni antiquities up for auction at “LIVEAUCTIONEERS”
SANAA, April 23 (YPA) – The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Sanaa published on Tuesday a new list of 24 looted Yemeni antiquities.
The authority indicated in a statement that these pieces are being auctioned through the “liveauctioneers” website.
The statement called on relevant international bodies to halt such auctions, as they violate international laws, and to restore rights to their owners. It called on anyone with any information about looted antiquities to contact the authority via its official social media pages:
