ADEN, April 21 (YPA) – Southern military expert Khaled Al-Nasi revealed on Monday the provocative methods that the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) employed to seize control of Hadramout province.
Al-Nasi confirmed that the STC was trying to impose its control over Hadramout by military force and to abuse its people under political pretexts and accusations under the name of “Brotherhood and Houthis”.
He explained in a post on the X that the STC’s leadership did not, in fact, accept the presence of the people of the southern provinces in Aden, pursuing regional policies and seizing wealth under false slogans.
The STC is mobilizing thousands of citizens and armed men in Aden and other southern provinces for a mass event it announced will be held next Thursday in the city of Mukalla. This event is in response to the Hadramout Tribal Alliance’s declaration of autonomy last week, amid calls to cancel the event to preserve security and stability in Hadramout.
