TAIZ, April 18 (YPA) – An elderly disabled citizen in the city of Mocha, which is under the control of the UAE-backed factions west of Taiz province, was brutally attacked by stray dogs after authorities removed his only kiosk, a “box,” leaving him homeless.
Local human rights sources reported that “the elderly man, Obaidi Ali, who has no family or relatives in the city, suddenly found himself homeless after local authorities destroyed the tin shack he had been living in.”
The sources added that Obaidi found himself without a roof to protect him, forcing him to sleep in the open, indicating that he was bitten by a dog and was unable to defend himself.
The incident sparked widespread anger among the people of Mocha, who demanded urgent action to provide safe shelter for the displaced citizen and hold accountable those responsible for destroying his only shelter.
It is worth noting that the authorities removed Obaidi’s “box” to establish a commercial project without regard for his disability.
