Protest organized by Moroccan doctors in solidarity with their counterparts in Gaza

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – Dozens of Moroccan doctors participated in a protest in Rabat, on Tuesday, demanding the protection of medical personnel in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to Israeli genocide for more than a year and a half.

Dozens of health workers participated in the protest, called for by the Moroccan Coordination of Doctors for Palestine, in front of Moulay Youssef Hospital (governmental).

The participants wore their official uniforms, denounced the targeting of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, and praised the sacrifices of their counterparts in Gaza, including doctors, nurses, and medical students.

The protesters raised Palestinian flags and banners reading, “From Moroccan nurses to the health heroes in Palestine, your steadfastness inspires us, and your struggle is a source of pride for the world,” “The Palestinian cause is a national cause, a firm position of the student movement,” “Palestine resists, and we will too,” and “Rise up for Gaza.”

On Sunday, Israeli warplanes bombed the Baptist Hospital in the center of Gaza City, destroying one of its buildings and damaging and setting fire to a number of its departments, putting it out of service.
