WORLD, April 15 (YPA) – Kuwait and Lebanon have banned Disney’s Snow White from their movie theatres over the lead actor’s ties to the Israeli occupation army,
According to Kuwaiti media reports, after public pressure on social media to halt the movie’s release in Kuwait, due to the involvement of Israeli actress and former Israeli army soldier Gal Gadot, cinema theaters in Kuwait responded to the demands and decided to stop screening the film.
The reports added that the ban was in line with Kuwait’s official and popular stance against normalization with the Israeli occupation at all levels.
Similarly, Lebanese local media reported that the Interior Ministry banned the film from cinemas across Lebanon over its star’s ties with the Israeli military.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israeli occupation l also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
