Islah celebrates declaring new entity in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, April 15 (YPA) – A new component of the so-called the “Current of Change and Liberation was announced on Monday in the city of Seiyun, the provincial capital of Hadramout Valley districts, which is under the control of Saudi-backed forces in eastern Yemen.

The political component, headed by Riyadh al-Nahdi, emphasized that it came in response to the Yemeni people’s need for an honest voice, a practical project, and an implementable vision.

The component’s leaders explained in a statement that the goal aims to confront foreign tutelage and corruption, stating that “change in the southern regions will not be achieved through theorizing or slogans, but rather through stances, will, and fieldwork.”

The statement said it would adopt a message aiming to unite sincere energies to achieve security, justice, freedom, and a dignified life in these regions, in addition to comprehensive reform, combating corruption, rebuilding state institutions.

The announcement of the component was widely promoted and celebrated by Islah Party activists on social media over the past few hours, amid accusations from the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council activists that the component’s establishment was funded by “Saudi Arabia and Turkey.”
