HADRAMOUT, April 14 (YPA) -At least 8 people have died and scores were injured when two buses carrying expatriates and Umrah pilgrims collided in Hadramout Governorate, eastern Yemen.
According to media reports, the collision took place near the Marib Junction while both buses were traveling along the Marib–Al-Abr–Al-Wadea Road, a route known for its severe deterioration and lack of maintenance over the past decades.
The accident claimed the lives of eight individuals and left over 40 others injured, with several in critical condition.
The number of fatalities could increase as the situation continues to unfold, according local sources.
