NEW YORK, April 08 (YPA) – Hundreds of activists demonstrated outside United Nations headquarters in New York on Tuesday, condemning Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and calling on the Security Council and General Assembly to take immediate action to stop the violence and allow displaced Palestinians to return home.
In Washington, protesters gathered outside Blair House, the official guest residence where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is staying during his US visit.
Demonstrators held signs reading “Stop the Genocide” and “End Israeli War Crimes,” denouncing continued attacks on civilian homes and refugee tents in Gaza.
Protests have spread across American cities as part of a “Global Day of Action”, calling for an end to the aggression in Gaza, a halt the Israeli ‘genocide,’ and the release of all students supporting Palestinian rights from US detention centers.
