Yemen army launches offensive on Saudi-backed militias in Marib

MARIB, July 24 (YPA)- The Yemeni army on Tuesday launched an offensive on the positions of the Saudi-backed militias in Yemen’s Marib province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack targeted the militias’ positions in al-Dhuhor area in the southwest of Al-Jada’an area, the official said.

Five of the militias were killed and others were injured in the confrontations, the official confirmed.

The official a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were seized in the attack.
