HADRAMOUT, March 29 (YPA) – The Emirati intelligence services have arrested prominent military leaders in the “Second Military Region ,” including the staff officers of the region located in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout Governorate, eastern Yemen.
Informed local sources confirmed that the Emirati intelligence arrested the staff officer of the Region, “Mohammed Omar Al-Yamani,” and the commander of the “Al-Ahqaf Brigade” in the region, Ghaythan Al-Bahsani, the day before yesterday, and took them to one of their secret prisons at Al-Rayyan Airport.
They were accused of communicating with the “Hadramout Tribes Alliance” and opposing the removal of the alliance’s president, Amro bin Habreesh Al-Ali.
The sources revealed that Emirati intelligence in Mukalla is detaining Al-Yamani and Al-Bahsani for questioning, accusing them of several offenses, including working with the tribes’ alliance to take control of coastal regions held by Emirati-supported factions.
