Protesters opposing arms sales to Israel disrupt British Trade Minister’s speech

LONDONG, Mar. 27 (YPA) – Two pro-Palestinian protesters climbed onto a stage where British Business and Trade Secretary, Jonathan Reynolds, was preparing to deliver a speech on Thursday, protesting arms sales to the Israeli occupation.

The protesters chanted slogans demanding an end to arms exports to the Israeli occupation, particularly F-35 fighter jet parts, and accused the British government of complicity in war genocide in Gaza Strip.

The British minister confirmed that his country had suspended some arms exports to Israel but would exempt F-35 parts because they are integral to British national security.

On Monday, British Defense Secretary John Hill announced that his country does not intend to impose a total ban on arms sales to Israel.
