BEIRUT, March 26 (YPA) – Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed on Wednesday that “Israel occupation has not been able, throughout the 75 years of its occupation of Gaza and Al Quds, to legitimize any part of the Palestinian territories.
This came during his speech within the Al Quds Forum” to commemorate International Al Quds Day.
Sheikh Qassem pointed out that the American plan in the region was a large and dangerous plan using the occupation as a tool of criminality.
“This plan aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause, displace Palestinians, occupy lands in neighboring countries, and divide the countries of the region,” he added. The Israeli occupation has failed to change the reality on the ground.”
Sheikh Qassem went on to say: “The recent “Al-Aqsa Flood Battle” reflects the existential crisis facing the Israeli enemy, and “Israel” has failed to end the Palestinian resistance and has been unable to achieve its goal of reaching the Litani River.
He expressed his greetings to the Palestinian people, who has made great sacrifices to protect their land, saying, “My honest greetings to the Palestinian people, the legendary model who has sacrificed so much to remain on their land.”
Regarding the situation in Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem affirmed that “Lebanon will not accept the continuation of the Israeli occupation,” pointing out the necessity for the Lebanese state to fulfill its responsibilities in securing the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.
