WORLD, March 21 (YPA) -The Israeli occupation forces have persisted in blocking the entry of any humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip since the beginning of March, marking the longest period without aid since the war began in October 2023, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said .
This came during the United Nations office’s weekly press conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
In the same context, Senior Deputy Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza, Sam Rose, stated that bombardments across the Gaza Strip over the past four days have caused large-scale loss of life.
According to medical sources, around 600 people have been killed, including 200 children and women.
He further stated that the shelling severely disrupted basic services, hindering people’s ability to reach aid distribution points and hospitals.
