GAZA, March 19 (YPA) -Several Palestinian citizens were killed and others injured today, Wednesday, as a result of renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City.
Palestinian sources reported that a number of citizens, mostly women and children, were killed in airstrikes by the Israeli occupation warplanes that targeted the home of the Abu Daf family in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
The victims were transferred to the Baptist Hospital in the city.
The Israeli occupation forces resumed their aggression on the Gaza Strip early Tuesday morning, after a pause of more than two months.
The recent attacks have resulted in at least 400 fatalities, with nearly 564 people reported injured, including women and children. Additionally, numerous people remain trapped under the rubble of targeted buildings.
Rescue teams have faced significant challenges in reaching affected areas due to the ongoing barrage of airstrikes and artillery shelling from Israeli forces.
The escalation comes amid growing fears over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region, compounded by Israel’s ongoing blockade and disruption of essential medical and humanitarian supplies.
