SANAA, March 16 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces declared on Sunday that they had targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and its warships in the northern Red Sea.
Military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, said in a statement that the attack came in retaliation for the US aggression against Yemen.
He affirmed that the opration against USS Harry Truman and its warships was carried out with 18 ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.
The spokesman explained the US enemy had launched a blatant aggression by more than 47 airstrikes on several areas in the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, Bayda, Hajjah, Dhamar, Marib, and Jawf, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, in an unspecified toll.
He indicated that the Yemeni armed forces will not hesitate to target all US warships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea in response to the US aggression.
“The Yemeni armed forces will continue to impose a naval blockade on the Israeli enemy and a ban on its ships in the declared area of operations until aid and basic necessities are delivered to the Gaza Strip,” Sarie added.
The spokesman reiterated that this US aggression will only increase the steadfastness, faith, and resilience of Yemen and its steadfast and struggling people.
