Al-Qanou: We dealt positively with proposals, and the Ball is in the occupation’s Court

GAZA, March 15 (YPA) – Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanou stated on Saturday that the ball is in the Israeli occupation’s court, as it continues to renege on agreements, as is its usual practice.

In televised remarks, Al-Qanou said, “We support any proposal that reaches us through mediators and deal with it with great flexibility and positivity, just as we have positively engaged with various proposals. The ball is now in the occupation’s court.”

He explained that the Hamas delegation returned to Cairo yesterday and reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire agreement. “Our delegation in Cairo is following up on the proposals presented to solidify the ceasefire,” he added.

Al-Qanou continued, “The occupation violated the first stage by halting the humanitarian protocol and besieging Gaza. We did not set impossible conditions but rather conditions agreed upon with guarantees from the mediators and Washington.”

He clarified that the issue lies in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on stalling to save his political future, noting that the occupation is resorting to evasion tactics.
