Missing center calls for urgent international intervention to recover bodies of victims under rubble in Gaza
GAZA, Mar. 04 (YPA) – The Palestinian Center for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared Persons announced on Monday the need for urgent international intervention to retrieve the bodies of thousands of martyrs trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Monday, the center expressed its deep concern over Israel’s continued prevention of the entry of equipment needed to remove the rubble and retrieve the victims.
The center called on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and exert the necessary pressure on Israel to ensure the immediate and unconditional entry of this equipment.
It pointed out that Israel’s unilateral closure of the crossings on March 2, 2025, constitutes a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and prevents the entry of vital aid and equipment, deepening the humanitarian tragedy.
The statement explained that despite the entry of only 9 bulldozers of limited efficiency within 42 days, the initial understandings included the entry of 100 pieces of various heavy equipment, while the Strip actually needs no less than 500 pieces of this equipment.
