GAZA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Director General Amy Pope, said on Wednesday that most Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have lost everything.
Sharing a clip from her visit to Gaza on X”, she said that in Gaza, people are desperate for the ceasefire to hold and a place to be safe.
“Many have lost everything, yet cling to hope. They need shelter, safety, dignity and control over their future,” she added.
With US support, Israeli occupation forces launched a war on Gaza from October 7, 2023, to January 19, 2024, resulting in more than 160,000 Palestinian casualties—most of whom were children and women—and over 14,000 missing persons, according to Palestinian statistics.
