MARIB, Feb. 11 (YPA) – The military leader loyal to the coalition, Naji Mutahhar Al-Sayyadi, was subjected to an armed attack east of the city of Marib, which is under the control of the Islah factions.
Local sources reported that an armed gang attacked Al-Sayyadi, who was impersonating the rank of “Colonel”, in the Al-Jathwa area of Al-Jardan in Wadi Obeida, and attacked him and looted the military vehicle he was riding in, before the gang members fled to an unknown location.
The sources confirmed that Al-Sayyadi was injured in his hand as a result of the attack, which necessitated his transfer to the military hospital in Marib city to receive treatment.
They pointed out that the incident of the assault and looting of Al-Sayyadi’s vehicle comes within the framework of the security chaos witnessed in the areas under the control of the Islah factions funded by the coalition.
