TEHRAN, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, announced that the drone carrier “Shahid Bagheri” was designed for defense in remote areas, stressing the importance of the ability to fight and be present anywhere in the world.
This came during the ceremony of the drone carrier joining the Maritime Force of the Revolutionary Guards in the Gulf held today, Thursday, in the presence of Major General Mohamed Baqri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Salami explained that achieving independence is one of the most prominent achievements of the revolution, pointing out that possessing power is a necessity to self-determination.
He added that the world has no place for the weak, as major powers are trying to shape a political map according to their interests, aiming to wrest the will and independence of countries.
Major General Salami emphasized that countries that lack political power are forced to submit, pointing out that colonialism uses wars to control peoples.
