Palestinian prisoners died inside Israeli prisons after being tortured

GAZA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Two Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip had been died after being tortured inside in Israeli occupation prisons.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority said in a statement that the detainees Mohammed Sharif Al-Asali, 35 years old, died on 5/17/2024, and Ibrahim Adnan Ashour, 25 years old, died on 6/23/2024, both from Gaza.

The statement indicated that Al-Asali is a father of four children, and according to his family, he did not suffer from any chronic health problems.

As for the deceased prisoner Ashour, he was arrested on 2/14/2024, from Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, and he did not suffer from any health problems.

Thus, the number of “martyrs” of the prisoner movement whose identities are known since 1967 has risen to 295.

The statement held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the deaths of the detainees, calling on the international community to hold it accountable and impose sanctions on this criminal entity.
