GAZA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Hamas movement strongly condemned on Tuesday the Palestinian Authority (PA) presidency’s statements in which the movement’s name was mentioned in a context that was described as “suspicious meetings to discuss ideas on establishing “a mini-Palestinian state.”
Hazem Qassem, a spokesperson for the movement, stated that such proposals are purely a fabrication by certain influential parties within the authority and an attempt to distort Hamas’s image following its achievements in blocking displacement projects, halting Israeli aggression, and successfully concluding an honorable prisoner exchange deal.
The movement urged the Palestinian Authority to cease its campaign of distortion and instead prioritize the broader national interest during this critical period for the Palestinian cause.
Hamas also reiterated its call for the PA and other national forces to focus on unifying the internal Palestinian front. It emphasized the importance of working collaboratively to support efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, address the aftermath of recent Israeli aggression, and bolster a united stance to safeguard the national and historical rights of the Palestinian people.
