Senior Hamas leader: Israeli occupation fails to achieve central goal in Gaza

GAZA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qassem, considered that the Israeli occupation forces had failed to achieve its central goal during the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which is to displace the population.

“Our Palestinian people have been rooted in their land since history in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank,” Qassem said in a statement to Al-Aqsa TV.

The statement affirmed that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, in addition to the heroism of the resistance, prevented the occupation from achieving victory in the Gaza Strip.

It continued: “The agreement signed with the Zionist occupation was the result of the Palestinian steadfastness on its land.”

“We have enough papers to force the occupation to reach all stages of the ceasefire, in addition to the guarantees of the mediators,” the statement added.
