Trump implements his first decision to protect US border with Mexico

WORLD, Jan. 23 (YPA) – President Donald Trump has begun implementing his first promises, which he had long vowed to carry out, including protecting the US borders from illegal immigration.

CNN reported, citing local sources, that the US military has deployed thousands of soldiers to protect the US-Mexico border.

The network stated: “Thousands of additional American soldiers are expected to be deployed to the southern border with Mexico in the coming days after President Donald Trump ordered an increase in military presence in the area.”

Currently, around 2,200 soldiers are stationed on the border as part of the Border Task Force, based in Texas. Their duties include logistical support, surveillance, and working with statistical data.

The reinforcements will perform similar tasks, including supporting patrol readiness, addressing threats, managing migrant flows, and helping coordinate actions.

This move comes in the wake of Donald Trump’s inauguration as President of the United States.

Trump had promised to take action against immigration as one of his first steps after assuming office.
