Gold prices witness significant rise in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Gold prices in Yemen recorded a new increase on Wednesday across jewelry and gold markets in Aden and Sanaa.

In the latest developments, the price of a gold pound in Aden and the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen reached 1,360,000 riyals, while the price for a gram of 21-karat gold stood at 177,000 riyals. This marks an increase from Tuesday’s prices, with a rise of 50,000 riyals for the pound and 7,000 riyals for the gram.

Meanwhile, in Sanaa, the price of a gold pound was recorded at 323,500 riyals, with the 21-karat gram priced at 41,700 riyals. These figures show a 24-hour increase of 1,500 riyals for the pound and 200 riyals for the gram.

Gold had bid farewell to 2024 in Yemen with a price of 311,000 riyals for a gold pound in Sanaa and 1,225,000 riyals in Aden.
