British city of Bristol votes to divest from companies that support Israel

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – Bristol City Council in the UK has passed a motion calling for divestment from companies linked to Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the arms trade.

The motion, proposed by Green jParty councillor Shona Gimfrey, passed by an overwhelming majority of 57 out of 70 votes, after months of advocacy by local activists.
