SANAA, July 22 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment, Nabil Abdullah Al-Wazir, on Sunday discussed with the Water and Housing Coordinator of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) – Yemen Office the aspects of cooperation in the field of water and sanitation and means of developing and enhancing it.
The ICRC official explained the plan of work for next year and the related projects and programs in the field of water and environmental sanitation.
Al-Wazir stressed on the important role played by the ICRC in supporting the efforts and activities of the Ministry of Water and Environment since the beginning of the Saudi-led coalition aggression.
He pointed out that the stage requires more cooperation and support from the side of the ICRC, stressing in this regard that the ministry depends a lot on the Red Cross which will continue to be an active supporter in addition to supporting the water and sanitation projects in Yemen.
For his part, the ICRC official praised the cooperation of the Minister of Water and Environment and its support for all activities and interventions carried out by the Committee, stressing that Red Cross will spare no effort to support the Ministry of Water and Environment to develop the overall water and sanitation system.
