Senior Mahra official demands legitimate rights of province’s people

MAHRA, Jan. 08 (YPA) – Deputy of Mahra province for Youth Affairs, Badr Kalshat, backed by the coalition, affirmed on Wednesday that the Mahra people has the right to demand their rights, similar to the rest of the province, including Hadramout.

Kalshat called on the coalition to stay away from anything that would harm the Mahri community, who need development and service projects.

“Disagreements and disputes still dominate the Mahri scene,” he added, calling on officials, social figures, local components and all segments of society to join forces to raise their province.”

Kalshat explained that the coalition-backed Aden government only responds to every strong, unified voice demanding its rights with a collective will.

He noted that opportunities did not come again and that Hadramout had provided a real lesson in how to achieve the right demands.

“The people of Mahra must set aside differences, as neither recruitment here nor conflicts there will enrich or fatten the hungry, and to work on unifying your ranks, and be steadfast on your land, Kalshat added.”
