DAMASCUS, Dec. 29 (YPA) – At least 11 Syrians were killed on Sunday in an initial casualty report as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a weapons depot in the Damascus countryside.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a violent explosion was heard at one of the former Syrian regime’s weapons depots near the Adra industrial city in an attack suspected to be Israeli, resulting in the initial loss of two lives.
The explosion also caused extensive damage to the depot, the observatory added.
Israeli occupation forces aircraft intensified their airstrikes on Syrian territory after the fall of the former regime on December 8, targeting military installations, weapons stores, and military infrastructure.
