GAZA, Dec. 27 (YPA) -Millions of Yemeni people took to the streets on Friday in al-Sabeen Square, the largest square in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, and other Yemeni provinces, in support for the Palestinian people and their resistance in Gaza.
A statement was issued during the rallies, reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza, emphasizing steadfastness without limits or red lines.
The rallies’ statement condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, describing it as a “crime of the century,” criticizing the global, Arab, and Islamic silence or inaction.
It highlighted the expansion of Israeli crimes from Gaza to the West Bank, Jerusalem, Syria, and Lebanon, with the goal of achieving the “Greater Israel” project.
The statement celebrated Yemen’s military victory in thwarting a large-scale US attack, particularly the targeting of the U.S. aircraft carrier “Harry Truman” and several destroyers, leading to the downing of a U.S. F-18 jet.
The statement praised successful Yemeni missile and drone strikes against Israel, inflicting significant damage and instilling fear among Israelis.
It also commended the vigilance of Yemen’s security agencies for their role in thwarting enemies, with significant achievements made possible by the people’s cooperation.
It called for severe punishment for anyone found guilty of collaborating with Israel, the US, or Britain.
“Yemen affirms its high readiness and complete preparedness to face any conspiracies or plans by its enemies, the statement read.
The rallies’ statement urged the Arab and Islamic world to fulfill their religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities toward Gaza, emphasizing the importance of active participation and jihad in the path of Allah.
The statement confirmed continued support for the Palestinian people’s struggle and stressing Yemen’s role in confronting Israeli aggression while advocating for Palestinian liberation.
