WEST BANK, Dec. 24 (YPA) – A Palestinian teenager was killed early Tuesday morning by Israeli occupation forces during their operation in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestinian sources, the teenager died from critical injuries after being shot by the occupation snipers in the Al-Hadaida neighborhood of the camp.
The occupation forces reportedly prevented emergency medical teams from reaching the scene and opened fire at them, the sources said.
A large occupation forces, accompanied with bulldozers, entered Tulkarm city from the western side and moved towards the camp after identifying Israeli special forces in the Al-Hadaida neighborhood, with reconnaissance aircraft circling above.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the camp, deployed snipers on nearby high-rise buildings, and randomly fired at any movement in the area.
During the operation, Israeli bulldozers destroyed infrastructure in several areas of the camp, including water network .
The occupation forces also caused damage to private and public property, including shops, houses, vehicles, and part of the walls of Al-Salam Mosque. Barriers were placed at the mosque’s entrance.
As a result of the assault, power and internet services were cut off in large parts of the camp. Clashes between the occupation forces and residents intensified, accompanied by explosions in the area.
The occupation forces also conducted operations in various neighborhoods of Tulkarm city, specifically in the western and eastern areas, including Shahid Thabit Thabit Square and Al-Haddadin Street.
