WORLD, Dec. 21 (YPA) -A man rammed a car into a large crowd of revellers at a Christmas market in central Germany on Friday evening (20 December), killing at least 11 people and injuring more than 60 before he was arrested, German media
NTV Channel, citing authorities from Saxony-Anhalt, stated that “the driver was arrested.”
According to the T-Online website, 11 people were killed and 60 others injured. At the same time, media reports indicated that the collision occurred between two cars.
The state government described the incident as an “act of terrorism.”
According to Germany’s Bild newspaper, the market area is now closed and is being inspected to check for explosives.
