SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Minister of Transport, Mohammed Ayash Quhim, affirmed on Thursday that work in the port of Hodeida had resumed normally after it was bombed by the Israeli aggression.
In a statement, the minister said “The port of Hodeida continues to operate normally and receives ships and containers without stopping.”
He stressed that the Israeli aggression did not succeed in disrupting the vital activity of this strategic facility that provides services to the Yemeni people.
Quhim considered targeting the port a flagrant violation of all international laws that prohibit targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure.
“This aggression comes within the attempts of the American, Israeli and British aggression countries to tighten the economic siege on the Yemeni people and dissuade them from supporting and defending the Palestinian people,” he added.
Quhim called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards these crimes, demanding to take urgent action to protect civilian facilities and ensure their continued operation away from any military act.
