Girl died as result of house fire in capital Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 18 (YPA) – An 11-year-old girl died as a result of a fire that broke out in the home of citizen Abbas Al-Khamri in the Al-Safiya district in the center of the capital, Sanaa, on Wednesday.

The Civil Defense teams were able to extinguish a fire and explained that the girl—suffering from a psychological condition—was chained to the window of the room in which the fire broke out, in light of the absence of her parents during the fire, according to the testimony of the girl’s uncle, who was in his house.

The Civil Defense stated that investigations are still underway by the security authorities to determine the circumstances and causes of the fire, and the girl’s body was transferred to Kuwait University Hospital.
