Zionist aerial aggression targets Latakia, Baniyas, Tartus Ports

DAMASCUS, Dec. 12 (YPA) -Israeli occupation fighter jets continue to destroy the remaining military assets in Syria for the fourth consecutive day as a part of the series of intensive airstrikes which started following the announcement of the fall of Al-Assad’s regime on December 8.

The occupation fighter jets launched airstrikes early Thursday morning, targeting the port of Latakia, the Zouba area in Baniyas, and military storage facilities in the al-Safra region of Tartus countryside, resulting in rockets exploding at the site and firing uncontrollably.

Additionally, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli aircraft carried out intense airstrikes targeting the following sites:

  • A radar system in an electronic warfare and early warning site in Billah village that is located seven kilometres to the north of Tartus.
  •  A radar system and weapons in a position of air-defence forces in Al-Balatah that is located four kilometres to the north of Tartus.
  • A radar system in Al-Radar area that is located five kilometres to the south of Tartus.
  • A position of in Burj Islam and a radar system in Latakia countryside.
  •  Al-Talae’ camp in Al-Jourah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city.
  •  6-Deir Ezzor military airbase. The attack resulted in the destruction of aircraft and radar equipment.

 

Since the announcement of the toppling of Bashar Al-Assad, on December 8, the Syrian Observatory has documented nearly 352 airstrikes carried out by the occupation fighter jets in 13 Syrian provinces.
