GAZA, Dec. 09 (YPA) – At least 39 Palestinians were killed on Sunday evening as a result of airstrikes carried out by Israeli occupation warplanes on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources reported that the occupation warplanes targeted a car and a tuk-tuk in the northern city of Rafah, killing 12 Palestinians and injuring several others.
Medical teams were unable to reach the target site due to continuous shelling in the area.
The occupation’s airstrikes also hit a house belonging to the “Abu Hassanein” family behind the cemetery in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in 11 martyrs, including 4 children, and 2 injuries.
In Rafah city, the occupation warplanes targeted a group of citizens in the northern part of the city, killing 5 Palestinians, including two unidentified individuals.
Three more martyrs were reported in a new airstrike by an Israeli reconnaissance drone east of Rafah.
In another Israeli airstrike, Israeli warplanes launched a missile at a group of citizens near the Municipal Park in Gaza City, killing 5 citizens and injuring 5 others.
The airstrikes also hit an area near the aviation junction in Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of one Palestinian.
The toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to 44,708 martyrs and 106,050 injured since October 7, 2023, according to a report by the Ministry of Health on Sunday.
