SANAA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Sanaa government, Jamal Amer, expressed Sanaa’s support for a joint economic committee under UN supervision to manage and export oil wealth and deposit revenues for state employee salaries.
This came during his meeting in Sanaa with the political official in the office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, ‘Roxane Bazargan.’
During the meeting, Amer emphasized the importance of strategic peace in the political approach, noting that Washington has obstructed the signing of a roadmap for Yemen because of the escalation in the Red Sea.
He clarified that there is no relationship or overlap between signing the roadmap and Sanaa’s moral and humanitarian position in supporting the Gaza Strip against war crimes and genocide by the Zionist entity.
Amer confirmed that Sanaa is open to all solutions aimed at addressing the economy for the Yemeni citizen and is even seeking a solution that the people can feel.
The foreign minister urged that the envoy and the United Nations should have a clear position on the American role obstructing the peace process in Yemen.
