Iraq announces return of Lebanese refugees to their country

SANAA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – The Mayor of Al-Qaim district in the Iraqi Anbar governorate, Turki Muhammad Khalif Al-Mahlawi, announced, on Saturday, the return of Lebanese refugees to their country during the past two days.

Al-Mahlawi said in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency “INA” that the return of the Lebanese from Iraq to their country had begun through the Al-Qaim border crossing after the ceasefire decision in Lebanon.

He pointed out that the number of returnees in the past two days reached 2,500 Lebanese refugees.
