WHO: 12,000 patients in Gaza need urgent evacuation for treatment

GENEVA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – The World Health Organization announced on Thursday Thursday the evacuation of 17 patients and wounded from the Gaza Strip.

Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, said in a post on the “X”, that the 17 patients were evacuated to Jordan, where 12 of them will be transferred to the United States to complete their treatment.

He pointed out that six patients need cancer treatment, while the rest of those evacuated need treatment for war injuries.

Ghebreyesus stressed that at least 12,000 patients and wounded in the Gaza Strip need urgent evacuation for treatment.
