About 226 health workers killed in Lebanon: WHO

BEIRUT, Nov. 22 (YPA) – About 226 health workers and patients have been killed 199 others injured in Lebanon and Gaza as a result of Israeli occupation’s attacks since October 7, 2023.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a report on Friday that the Lebanon’s health system is under severe pressure, with 15 out of 153 hospitals either out of service or partially operating, adding that Nabatieh Governorate, one of 8 province in Lebanon, has lost 40 percent of its hospital bed capacity.

The Israeli occupation has recently expanded its war on the Gaza Strip to include Lebanon, and has killed many leaders of the Hezbollah group, in which it has been exchanging fire since October of last year.
