Heinous crime shakes Taiz

TAIZ, Nov. 19 (YPA) – In a horrific incident that adds to a series of violations suffered by the local population under Saudi-led coalition’s control, a leader of the Islah party committed a heinous crime by raping a female student in Al-Mawasit district.

Human rights activist Mayassa Sharaf Farea revealed the details of the crime in a post on her Facebook account, indicating that the accused, who works as a mentor in the Ministry of Education and imam of a mosque in Bani Jaber in Al-Mawasit district, lured the victim to a women’s clothing store he owns.

It is important to note that this was not the first crime of its kind. The perpetrator had previously lured other girls to his clothing store and an adjacent pharmacy he owns, using these places as traps to exploit the victims, which has caused widespread fear and distress among local families.
