UAE prepares Socotra for launch of “Israeli” planes to bomb Yemen
SOCOTRA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Informed sources have revealed a new Emirati-Zionist plan targeting the Yemeni people, starting from the occupied Yemeni Socotra Archipelago, east of the Gulf of Aden.
The sources stated that a number of Emirati and Israeli officers arrived on Socotra Island last week to complete the military operations room at the joint military base between the UAE and the Zionist entity on Abdul Kuri Island since 2020.
The UAE is reportedly preparing a military base for Zionist aircraft to launch airstrikes on Yemeni provinces under the control of the Sanaa government as a result of the latter’s targeting of Israeli ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in support of the resistance in Gaza and Lebanon, according to the sources.
The UAE’s Zionist tendencies came after the failure of the American-led “Prosperity Alliance” to protect Israeli ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea and the exposure of its warships and aircraft carriers to Yemeni missile strikes during the past months.
A report issued by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) last November confirmed that the Zionist entity had deployed its own sensors on Abd al-Kuri Island to confront missiles and drones belonging to the Yemeni forces.
Last March, America officially announced the installation of air defenses to protect Israeli ships from Yemeni missile strikes under the pretext of the so-called confrontation with “Iran.”
This came after the UAE established a military base for the Zionist entity on Abdul Kuri Island and a number of maritime surveillance centers linked to small spy submarines, towards the Gulf of Aden, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Horn of Africa since 2020.
Abdul Kuri Island is one of the most important Yemeni islands in the Socotra Archipelago, which oversees international shipping routes in the Indian Ocean all the way to the Horn of Africa and Bab al-Mandab, where its residents were displaced for various periods by the UAE forces.
