Meteorology expects clear cold weather in Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected clear and cold to very cold weather in different provinces of Yemen.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that a cold wave may target scattered areas of the provinces of Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Saada and Jawf, with temperatures ranging between 02 and 05 degrees Celsius.

It also expected cold weather on the highlands of Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj and Abyan, with minimum temperatures ranging between “06-09 degrees Celsius, while parts of low clouds would appear over Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Ibb, Rayma and Taiz.

The center stated that the desert areas have clear weather that tends to be cold at night and during the early morning, with the light to moderate winds.

It renewed its warnings to citizens in the aforementioned areas to take the necessary precautions against cold and very cold weather, especially children, the elderly and workers during the night and early morning hours.
