Five Palestinians killed in Israeli bombing of central Gaza

GAZA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Five Palestinian citizens were martyred and others were injured early Thursday morning when Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a group of civilians in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Additionally, a number of people were wounded in an airstrike by the occupation on a tent housing displaced individuals in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Earlier on Wednesday, the occupation forces carried out two air raids on the area, killing nine people and injuring many others, according to medical sources.

The Al-Mawasi area is a sandy region that lacks basic living conditions. Around 1.7 million people live there, most of whom were forcibly displaced by the Israeli occupation due to continuous shelling and gunfire.

Many of these displaced individuals arrived there during the Israeli ground invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza last May.

The occupation claimed the area was a “safe zone,” despite having committed numerous massacres by targeting the tents housing displaced people in the area.
