SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted on Sunday cold weather in six Yemeni provinces and scattered rain in other parts of the country within the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast it issued today, the center predicts a slight temperature drop of one to two degrees in high areas of Bayda, Dhalea, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, and Saada provinces on Sunday.
The center also urged citizens in the six provinces to take necessary precautions during the cold weather in the late hours of the night and early morning.
The Center also predicted scattered rain, sometimes with thunder, in Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah, Saada, Tihama, western coasts, and the Socotra Archipelago, including highlands and plains.
The coastal areas will experience partly cloudy weather with scattered rain on the Tihama Plain, western coasts, and Socotra Archipelago, light on the southern and eastern coasts, and moderate winds, sometimes active on the southern western coast and Bab al-Mandab entrance.
The desert areas will experience clear to partly cloudy weather with light to moderate winds ranging from 05 to 15 knots.
The Meteorology and Early Warning Center issued a warning to citizens to avoid valleys and flood paths during and after rainfall and thunderstorms and to vehicle drivers about low horizontal visibility on roads and western mountain slopes.
